AST holds general auditions for Equity, non-Equity, and intern actors each year at our home in Conway, Arkansas, as well as in Chicago, Illinois. We also accept video submissions. We are currently seeking actors for our 2015 summer repertory season: The Merchant of Venice, The Merry Wives of Windsor, Fiddler on the Roof, and an adaptation for young audiences of As You Like It.
Rehearsals for the 2015 season will begin May 12, with the first show opening on June 5. Shows will continue in repertory until June 28. For actors coming from out of town, housing will be provided. All acting positions are paid, and actors are eligible to join and earn points in the Equity Membership Candidate program.
AST is a professional Equity theatre operating on an URTA Tier 1 contract. We will be casting actors of a variety of ages and ethnicities–all are encouraged to apply.

Actors should prepare either two contrasting classical monologues (at least one of which should be from Shakespeare) OR one Shakespeare monologue and sixteen bars of a song in order to be considered for the musical. An accompanist will be provided for the full day on Friday, and from 2-6 pm on Saturday.
All appointments for the Friday Equity auditions will be made through the Equity office. EMC and non-Equity actors may also be able to be seen that day as walk-ins. General auditions will be held on Saturday, November 8 from 10 am – 4 pm at Reynolds Performance Hall on the campus of the University of Central Arkansas.

Actors should prepare either two contrasting classical monologues (at least one of which should be from Shakespeare) OR two contrasting classical monologues and 16 bars of a song in order to be considered for the musical. You must also provide sheet music for the accompanist if you will be singing. Your total audition should be no more than five minutes. AST will accept video submissions from actors through December 1, 2014. Please upload your video through a program such as You Tube or Vimeo and e-mail a link to your submission to firstname.lastname@example.org, along with your headshot and resume.
For your video, prepare either two contrasting classical monologues (at least one of which should be from Shakespeare) OR one Shakespeare monologue and sixteen bars of a song in order to be considered for the musical. Your song should be presented with some kind of accompaniment, either a track or live.
AST accepts submissions from designers and directors interested in working with us on our summer repertory seasons.
