They came from far and wide. They mailed, drove, flew, or took the train. They braved snow, ice, and the unpredictability of the US Postal Service. Starting in September of 2010, headshots, resumes, and portfolios started arriving from all over the country seeking employment for the 5th annual festival of the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre.

The originals will be up for auction at Bard Ball 2011: Arkansas Artists Pay Tribute to the Bard Friday, February 18th at the Governor’s Mansion in Little Rock, Arkansas. Proceeds from the event benefit Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre.
Auditions are the most compressed, highest-stress part of the craft of acting. It comes down to two major principles:
1. Control the things you can control.
2. Completely and totally let go of the things you cannot control.
