The Two Gentlemen of Verona

Enjoy a romantic evening under the stars with Shakespeare’s tale of friends divided by love, featuring comical servants and a playful pup. Opens June 5th.

 

Pippin

Join Pippin on a musical journey of self-discovery that celebrates the magic of theatre. Winner of the 2013 Tony Award for Best Revival. Opens June 11th.

 

Hamlet

Perhaps Shakespeare’s greatest tragedy, Prince Hamlet seeks to revenge his father’s death. Directed by Robert Quinlan (Richard III) and presented in an intimate on-stage setting. Opens June 20th.

 

The Comedy of Errors

A special adaptation of Shakespeare’s rip-roaring farce, perfect for kids of all ages. Opens June 24th.

Only five more days with the family!

It seems like only yesterday the cast arrived for their first rehearsals, but now here we are reaching the end of our 2013 season. Much Ado About Nothing has finished its successful outdoor run, but it’s not too late to catch these great shows!

Heather Roberson (Set Designer, Much Ado About Nothing) is a former Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre properties master from the 2011 season and is excited to return as a designer. Evan L. Harney (Sound Designer) is enjoying his first year with Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. While originally for the Panhandle of Oklahoma, Evan has designed and/or run sound for over 20 productions in Oklahoma, Texas, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Iowa. Evan holds a BA in theatrical production from West Texas State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude, and an MFA in theatrical design, with an emphasis on sound and props design, from Ohio University. Evan is very excited for the opportunity to work with everyone at AST this summer and hopes you will find the shows “as merry as the day is long.”
